New Year’s Resolution 2016

This year, my resolution is to help connect musical performers to musical audiences.

Philosophy
Every time a new year starts, I take some time to set goals for my fresh new 365 days. Once again, I’m planning on this being my best year ever.

I had a pretty simple goal last year to try to make enough money to help me work on Consortya full time. Well, that sort of stuff doesn’t always happen without more focused goals. This year, my resolution is to help connect musical performers to musical audiences. I will strive to hold several concerts, album release parties, and late night sets.

Why
To tell you the truth, it’s just amazing to think about performers being able to perform for people that will enjoy it. If this project were to never take off, I’d be pretty bummed out that no one wanted to hang out and listen to live music. I think that people do want to find new live music they enjoy, so I’m not really worried about that.

How
It’s not that hard to perform in Consortya. It’s probably pretty hard to try to build up an audience that will attend though. I’m going to work to make it easier for DJ’s, bands, and any other musical performers to find their audiences. Once the musicians find their audiences, I’m going to provide a place to interact musically with them.

Conclusion
I’m cool with the current pace, and I hope that there are enough musical performers and musical audiences out there to have some concerts soon.
